Delete your account & data

This page explains how to delete your Bookella account and the personal data associated with it. It applies whether you signed in with email, Google, Apple, or Facebook.

1. Delete from within the App (recommended)

Open Bookella, go to Settings → Delete account, and confirm. Your account is immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion.

2. Request deletion by email

If you can no longer open the App, write to us through the support page from the address associated with your account (or tell us your sign-in method) and ask us to delete your account. We may need to verify your identity before we proceed.

3. What is deleted & when

When you request deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. For 30 days you can cancel by signing in again and restoring your account. After that period we permanently delete your account, your content and files, purchase records, and diagnostic identifiers from our live systems, and remove them from backups within our normal backup cycle (up to 90 days). If you signed in with Facebook, we also delete the data our App obtained from Facebook about you.

We may keep a limited amount of data only where the law requires it. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account to stop future charges. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
