Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-18
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Bookella (the “App”), provided by Bookella (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and the applicable app store rules.
3. Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You may sign in with email, Google, Apple, or Facebook, or use the App anonymously.
4. Subscriptions & purchases
The App may offer subscriptions or one-time in-app purchases. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings. Purchases are subject to the store’s terms, and refunds are handled by the store.
Some features, such as those powered by AI, may have a daily usage limit, including with a Premium subscription. These limits keep the App fast and available for everyone. Once you reach a limit, the feature becomes available again the next day.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, reverse engineer it, interfere with its operation, or use it to violate any law or the rights of others.
6. Your content & intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you create in the App, and you grant us the limited rights needed to store and operate the service for you. The App itself — its design, software, and trademarks — is owned by Bookella and its licensors.
7. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (Google Firebase, Google AdMob, RevenueCat, Meta / Facebook Login, the App Store, and Google Play). Their terms and policies apply to their parts of the service; we are not responsible for third-party services.
8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookella is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Termination & account deletion
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account — see the Privacy Policy (“Deleting your account & data”) or https://bookella.app/legal/deletion/. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Deletion becomes permanent after the recovery window described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence remain unaffected.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we will post the updated version and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
